happy 2009!
it's here so quickly
have been reading blogs, most of which belong to people i care about
and it seems like, almost everyone is unprepared
perhaps it's what happened in this final quarter of 2008
that took us all by surprise
that life can be so perfect and impossibly hard to live at the same time
we forged pretty amazing links among us all
fell in and out of love
smelt, breathed and tasted life
ate and drank good food and drinks
partied, chilled, and simply stayed at home to relax
we read, we watched, we thought, we laughed, we cried
we fell sick, we got injured, we got healthy and we got well
but most of all, we had each other.

i'm sorry i couldn't have kept the year a little longer
but i'm glad i did live it the way i did.
and maybe it's time to make some real resolutions that i'll really keep
i will challenge myself, and take it seriously.

friends, 2009 is here,
and i'm glad to have met up with almost all my friends from different, erm, generations.

time is running so fast and it's leaving us behind

nonetheless, it's been the time of my life
as green day and david cook swear by.

resolutions
put on a seatbelt, even in the backseat. (i've already started!)
take education seriously
take fun seriously

and i realised that some people treat resolutions as wishes
not doing anything and expecting them to come true
i'll not be one of them.

and i will find a job. once school's settled.
